Looking for a safe joint supplement for an older brood mare. What have you used that worked?

I was told not to give MSM to pregnant mares so you might look into that? As there hadn't been any research on the effects same with turmeric which is supposed to be really great. Anyway I have mine on Chia seed it has made a huge difference in my arthritic mare. My trainer noticed the difference in her and now takes it everyday as well and says it makes a huge difference in her pain level from multiple injuries. There's lots of info out there on the benefits.
