Isaiah 48:18 peace, well being
With God all things are possible
Posts: 3917
Isaiah 48:18 if only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, your well being like the waves of the sea.
It seemed once again God was reminding His people what they could have experienced had they stuck closer to Him.
Ever been amazed by a verses simple depth. Wonder whether we been paying need to all God's commands. not just the Big Ten, but others tucked away here and there throughout Scripture.
For instance, been worrying lately? Jesus tells us not to in Matthew 6:25. He also tells us repeatedly to trust Him, to not fear, and to love others. Do we exhibit all the qualities of love that 1 Corinthians 13 describes? Patience, kindness, humility, unselfishness, forgiveness , etc? If not, we are not really obeying the command of love.
We can feel overwhelmed I now much work we need to do. Head swam and drown any lingering of peace we has going for us.
But remember Jesus' admonishment that living by His commands comes much easier when we focus on Him.
The next instant we can feel something : peace.
Father guide me today to do all things that bring glory and honor to You Amen
For it is with God all things are possible
