I am 14 weeks pregnant and I have been getting a lot of nosebleeds!  I never got nosebleeds before pregnancy, and now I get them a lot.  It's a huge annoyance...especially when they happen at work or when I am somewhere away from home.

Does anybody have any ideas as to how I can stop them from happening or what to do when they happen to stop them faster?  I am willing to try anything!  I have bought a saline nosespray that I heard would help, but it doesn't seem to be helping all that much.

I do have a doctor's appointment next Monday and I will be bringing this up.

A few ice cubes in a paper towel applied to the nose will help end it sooner. I used to get those a lot when I was in my twenties.

This is often a sign of high blood pressure. I think you need to call your doctor.

Well my sister had them when she was pregnant. She lives in El Paso. We thought maybe it was the dry air because she didn't have any when she came to visit us in MO. However she ended up with preeclampsia and high blood pressure. In hind sight we wonder if her blood pressure was lower while she visited because she was relaxed for one

Not sure if it's true but my mother in-law says to take vitamin K for nosebleeds. This may be worth researching a bit more into. She swears by it.

A doctor visit and check blood pressure .  Did you discuss this with your OB/GYN?

If you eat Jello, jello helps prevent nose bleeds.

you could drink jello packages from knox that also does the trick :)
