Yes  Unless you have a pacemaker or pregnant.  Magnets and Pacemakers/pregnancy should not be used together regardless of brand

polorunner - 2015-09-18 12:22 PM I have used both products, PHT blanket and BOT, still have both in my trailer. To all of you that have the MagnaCu Quick Wraps, what is the quality of the wrap? I have seen some for sale on FB and I am curious how well they are made.

I use mine religiously and not a think is wrong with them!

trickster j - 2015-09-17 1:52 PM If you are handy enough you can make your own magnetic blanket- there are many suppliers of neodymium magnets on the internet, just do a google search.  I've used them just glued or taped to specific areas individually, and also glued into a piece of fabric for a browband or poll relief strip.  www.apexmagnets.com is where I've gotten alot of mine- you can get 50 magnets with a pull force of almost 2 pounds for less than $10.00.  I'm all about affordable and effective- not so much "fashion" either, lol.
Those magnets aren't even close to being what the PHT ones are. That's like taking a watermelon, making key lime pie out of it and expecting it to taste like real key lime pie. Or saying a donkey is a Percheron.
PHT magnets are also Rare Earth neodymium magnets-  eta: they are the strongest available.
That would be like putting gasoline in a diesel vehicle because it's all the same right?

Ummm..  no....

Quality is not the same among suppliers.  Strength is realitive.  And types are used for certain areas of the body.  AND we do not use Neodymium on the blankets If you choose to make your own, that is your wonderful right.

Neos absorb heat when in direct sun and can build up to very hot and have been know to blister horses. ( another brand uses Neos on blankets but not PHT)

Copper also is not all created equal in purities

Thanks- I was just going by the info you had about them posted on your website.

So there is no confusion.  This is what is said on our website   PHT Magnetic Horse Blanket
PHT is the only magnetic horse blanket on the market that targets all of the important acupuncture meridians and points, as well as major muscle groups.
Our Magnetic Horse Blanket is designed to keep your horse fully balanced with our strategically placed magnets on major acupuncture meridians and points. This blanket provides soothing delivery of magnetic therapy by addressing the major muscle groups, as well as the stomach and lung meridians. Great for those sore muscles as well as the finicky eater and bleeder. Whether you are going on a short or long trip, this magnetic horse blanket gives you the confidence that your horse is ready to compete when you arrive. Our blanket is made of a nylon mesh which is cool in the summer or can be used under a winter blanket when the temperatures drop. The magnets we use are Grade 8 Ceramic unipolar

Lol- I know I hit a nerve- my apologies, I didn't mean to.  All I said was that I have used Rare Earth neodymium magnets for therapy for years, and I know alot of other equine practitioners who have used them as well.  On your website you mentioned that you also used Rare Earth neodymium magnets - maybe I shouldn't have quoted the price of them, but I don't know what you sell your magnet blankets for so to me it was irrelevant.

Hot shots aren't microcurrent- lol- that's funny, but I wouldn't be surprised if some have tried a hot shot for "therapy."   :)

MagnaCU blanket is on my list of wants for sure!!!! Everytime I get my dollars saved up something breaks.  Sigh....one of these days!!!

I had one and used it on myself... had to sell it to pay for an unexpected bill :( I am saving for another one... It felt so good on me... I'm sure Duncan would love it....

So you used the MagnaCu on yourself? I was also wondering if they were safe to use on humans too.

YES!!!!! In the time I had it, it NEVER saw the horses. Yes, I got the size my boy needed, but it didn't leave the house. I would wrap myself in it watching tv or reading.... I would get all tingly and relaxed wearing. It was a noticable difference. I broke my femur and have broken both ankles, so I'm a mess and cold weather hurts me.

Now that is funny! That it never left your house But that is so cool that you, yourself, saw and felt results! I have a lot of shoulder issues so, ill have to test the waters once I get one!

My CuHorse just causes problems.  Hubby doesn't like it when I won't share it and dog steals it everytime I get up.  Horses only get to use it when hauled and stalled.  I love that it keeps them cool.

I don't think Ocho read the website, but you have to pour him out of it.  Sometimes he growls at me.

I like the BOT & Pht. I just bought a Benefab blanket too, which has magnets and ceramic mesh material( we shall see how it goes) . Mostly I like BOT &PHT for tight muscles. I like the BOT at night and I love their leg wraps, have seen my horses stocked up legs go down all the way especially with the standing wraps. My bf has a bot long sleeve shirt though and said it just made him really warm that he didn't feel a huge difference in his back muscles (he has broken his back in the past). But he might have been saying that so I wouldn't buy any more leg wraps (horse obsession you know :) I'm willing to give anything a try if it helps performance. I don't believe that either blanket heal bleeders though lol I had to LOL at that. I know many bleeders that use PHT, and BOT (including 2 horses I own ) and it wouldn't be something that heals them from bleeding, but keeping their muscles nice and relaxed both blankets do a great job. Mostly just use them for sore or tired muscles, hauling long distances, keeping them warm at night. When norfields first came out my dad was one of their sales reps and I still have some leg wraps I use intermittently. I like norfields too .
