Location: North Dakota | I would think it depends on what exactly the issue is. Some things might be apparent right away, but other issues could take weeks, maybe months before they're explicitly noticable. |

Depends on how good you are at reading your horse and picking up on subtle changes. Depends on what you are trying to do in the saddle. I've had gelding that were very stoic about life and wouldn't fuss about much. My mare - if she doesn't like a saddle, she will crowhop and shoulder barrels. |

My old mare used to bite me as I was cinching if she didn't like the saddle, cinch and or pad. She was a brat. |

Location: between here and there | Have you done a basic check on the fit with your hands? I do that on any saddle every 6 mths or so. Horse change body shape and so do we throughout the year. WE gain we loose, we're in shape, we aren't. Don't take anything for granted. I've worked on horses that saddles that were fitting now were an issue and it went back to feet, mouth or condition. Location: Louisiana | Mine started with just being a little "stuff" through the shoulders, not fully extending while running, and ended with him trying to tear the horse trailer apart every time I cinched him up. New saddle solved the issue IMMEDIATELY. |
