Seat size in Crown C vs FX3

Morning all -
Who he experience with riding both the crown c and the fx3?
I rode a few different crown c's for about a year in a 14" seat. I felt like it was a bit too small and I was always popping forward. While I was looking for a 14.5 I found a Pozzi that fit and I liked so I went that route with that horse.
Now I have a new pony and a friends Crown c fits him great. I'm leaning towards going with the Fx3 to avoid some of the thrown forward issue since they are on the same tree.
Size wise how does the fx3 seat compare to the crown c? My Pozzi is a 14.5 but I could easily go 14 in it. I'm leaning towards 14.5 because I deal better with a little big than too small...

Hopefully I can answer this question next week when my FX3 finally arrives! I would think that they run about the same size as Crown C but since it sits you back more where the Crown C sits you forward that might give you a little more room. I'll let you know for sure.

Crown c Saddles stamped 2015 the seats have been changed so you don't get tipped forward.
You may want to see if you can get a demo of the 2015 saddles

I had to go up 1/2 a size in the FX3. A 14 Crown C fit perfect and I had to get a 14.5 FX3.

Thanks all, I'm swinging by a dealer on my way home from a business meeting this afternoon so hopefully they have a variety in stock for me to sit in.
that's interesting about the new crown c seats. I'm really focusing on sitting on my pockets more though so if they still sit you up I'm not sure it'll be my style.

so i have both of those saddles in 14 inch seats and i love my crown c if i had to make the purchases over again though i would have gotten my pozzi in a 13.5 inch seat i i feel like they run big. Also keep in mind the gullet size i originally had a crown c with a 7 in gullet and when i got my 8 in i noticed less room in the seat and if i had to get one with a gullet wider than 8 inches i would go up half an inch in seat size.

I agree with this. I had a Crown C with a 13.5" seat and 8" gullet, but with the 10 1/2" flat bar I went up to a 14" seat.

Yes, I agree with you for sure in the larger gullets going up a size, I experienced the the same thing. I would also be ok in a 14" Pozzi but the 14.5 works.
Re my original question about the crown c vs fx3 seats I ended up with a 14.5 in the fx3. I sat in a 14.5 crown c and it felt big compared to the 14 which makes me think I was getting pitched forward more due to design than size. The shop I stopped at didn't have any idea about changes to the crown c design though
