I am thinking of breeding to him next year. Any one with experience on the foals temperament? How are they to train? Thanks.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Famous Bugs! HIGHLY trainable, SUPER smart, dirty quick, and gorgeous. Not a bad thing to say. And Jeff is AWESOME to work with. Highly recommended! This is my 2 year-old. She is a little on the short side, but her mom was a late maturer, and she is the first baby. She is a KNOCK OUT. Flaxen mane and tail--some silver and almost purple streaks. Comes from Bugs. And she is so in-my-pocket, that I can't ever get a decent picutre of her. She literally will NOT leave me alone.

ETA: I should also mention that her mother has always had white, shalley feet that were difficult to work with. She is abcess-prone, and she must have shoes reset like clockwork or else they crack, chip, and split. This baby has AWESOME feet. All black and hard as nails. I'm betting she may not even need shoes.

We have a gelding coming 2 year old and a weanling by Famous Bugs.  They are out of a daughter of Flit Bar Beggar.   We absolutely love them.  They are smart, easy to work with huge hips and lots of bone.

Jeff is the best.  We were rookie breeders when we met him and Famous Bugs.  He kept us going and is wealth of information.   Can't say enough good things about their program.

My mare is a blue roan and Canadian bred, so I don't recognize any names until further back. I am friends with Bo and Jeff, I know they breed all race. I was hoping to find someone who had a cow/ ranch bred type of mare.

She is by a son of Raise A Native out of a Pacific Bailey mare. She is a 1d proven, rodeo-winning, WPRA-earning mare, she can be hot and is a lot of horse--even at 20 years old. I actually was more interested in Phame at the time, but after visiting with Jeff, he thought the FB's sound mind and easy demeanor would be the best cross, especially since she was 17 at the time and maiden. We thought there might be a chance we'd only get one shot, so we wanted to do it right. After 21 days under lights, he got her to stick without a problem. And for as long as she was there and the stud fee, it was very reasonable. Much less than I thought it would be, actually. And there is no way I could ever afford this filly out-right compared to what I've put into her. In fact, Jeff told me the day my filly was born that I'd just tripled my money.

I know when an acquaitance of ours was starting some of Bo's colts, he personally told me they were cow-eating sons of guns and smart, smart, smart.
