I have a pro max plus. It's right inbetween a pro max and a maxxed out.

I had a friend order a MaxxedOut based on pictures of her big gelding and I had her try my ProMax and it fits like a glove.  Thankfully she had time to change the order to a ProMax.  I think Maxxed Outs fit a very small percentage of even the big horses.  If there is anyone around with a ProMax see if you can try that first.  It's so much easier to actually try the different trees and see if they fit and also you get to try different ground seats for yourself and see if you like the way you ride in one or the other.  I don't know where you are but you are welcome to try any of my Caldwells.

I use a Maxxed Out and love it.  I went thru the Rocket and Pro Max before settling with the Maxxed Out.  I don't consider my horses ginormous, but it fits all of mine great, 2 yr old, 5 yr old, 8 yr old, & 13 yr old.  JMHO...  but I think that a large population ride saddles that are way too narrow for today's horses.  Again...  JMHO!

I have 2013 Maxxed Out, love to ride it!  It's a 15 yet I usually take a 14-14.5".   I would consider selling it though, not sure my horse might need a Pro Max.   PM me if interested.

I custom ordered the 9" gullet xx maxed out.   It fit my horse, but was too wide for me plus it was 50 lbs.   Absolutely hated the saddle because I couldn't get my legs on my horse and I felt like I was sitting 2 foot above them.   My horses hated it because it was so heavy.   I sold it and bought a double J xwide 35 degree tree and I LOVE IT.   I have tried every saddle out there and this by far is the best fitting, riding saddle I have ever owned.   Good luck.

This is the way my first ProMax felt on my racebred mare.  She is best fit for a Rocket but I tried the ProMax on her and I could not get a good grip with my legs because it was just so wide.  Caldwells are heavier saddles, which I actually prefer, but 50 lbs is a lot even for a Caldwell.  Mine all weigh in around 35 lbs.

No, Caldwell's don't weigh 50 lbs. Maybe your girth and the breast collar weighed 20.
