Location: The best kept secret in TX | I remember posting on all my social media pages about them. And I rmember the terrible feeling I got in my gut when I heard what happened.... Lots of people rallied together for those horses. It made me more aware of my surroundings for sure... I remember being so scared to go anywhere.... RIP guys.... I know it's still hard for the ones who lost their best friends and mounts...
Anyone have an update on the sentencing on the ones invloved? Curious to see where the accused are now and how they're paying for their actions... |

Credit Card was dismembered and discarded like trash into a barrel. The other four were found starving and dehydrated. I believe the other four made it. The sorry POS's responsible did not get near what they should have. |

The mom and her boyfriend are still in jail. The daughter, Jaci Jackson, was granted parole but I don't think she's out yet. She was ordered to take classes on "better decision making skills" or something to that effect. |

| Heartbreaking. Reading the story of how they found the horses still gives be goosebumps. They had a tip of where the horses might be located, a vast densely wooded area. A search was producing no results. If I am not mistaken it was the rodeo coach who took 2 horses that were closely bonded, tied them together at a trailer in the area for a few hours then took one away hoping they would call to each other. They described it as a windy day but the winds quieted, all was still and the horses started calling to each other and in the distance they heard another faint neigh that led them to the other 4 who had been tied and left to starve to death. I think they were there over a week or two. I am glad the sorry excuse for humans who did that were caught.

This is true. The horses had been "painted" so that no one could find them and were in super rough condition. The fact that they found them is a MIRACLE! I know most of the kids are doing well from rumors I have heard, how well is hard to say, I don't think I could ever truly get over that happening. It was very upsetting and just before these kids home rodeo for the year. |
