Location: Alabama | I have a gelding who is not a bleeder, nor does he have any respiratory issues (that I know of). Today was the first day it was slightly warm or sunny so they had their blankets off and we're feeling good, so he decided to run from me. While he was running and kicking and playing I noticed how he was breathing running, almost like a heavy gasp of air, my bay gelding who was also participating in this, & is much more out of shape was just fine... I'm woundering if maybe the flair strips would help him if he's having a hard time getting in air running. |

| Could. It's a relatively cheap thing to try but kind of expensive to continue if they don't make a difference.
I'd say if you continue to notice distress like that it might be worth consulting a vet. |

Location: Louisiana | If they weren't $10 per run, per horse, I'd use them on everything.
I use Breathe Right strips when I go jogging, otherwise I'm a mouth breather. I figure it's kiiiinda similar. Just helps them breathe easier!
But at $10 per strip, I could spend $40+ in a weekend. That's a little high for me. So only my bleeder gets them. |

| Have you looked into Fallon's Nebu Patches? Not the exact same as a Flair Strip but WAY cheaper!!! |

| I honestly just use a light layer of elmers craft spray adhesive on a strip and can reuse the darn thing up to 4 or 5 times...  |

| I think they make a difference, but try them and see how your horse feels. I have one who really doesn't mind them and I can feel a difference in her recovery. I have another who really benefited from them at first, but she HATES them. She fights you putting them on, tries to rub it off, and really just does not focus on anything except what's stuck to her nose. As soon as her run is over she's rubbing on anything she can to get it off ASAP. So naturally, she doesn't use them anymore! lol |

| So do they help with a horse that seems to loose air? By the time we leave the second she quits running. When she's in really good shape she can clock 2d times, but it seems that she just can't get enough air. |
