| my guy isn't hurting and he isn't terribly built down hill, his turning style is just really hard to stay up in front of him.i ride him in best ever pad the thicker kind and my triple creek. i have a friend that is going to let me borrow her new tammy fisher and its a 14 1/2" only other thing i could think of doing was buying shims to put under my triple creek already but i just don't see that making me keep my feet in front of me but who knows!! | |

Location: Oregon | Are you just getting behind on him or is he literally throwing you forward, ie "dashboarding" you. If it's the latter the bucking rolls will really help and they are a cheap fix to your existing saddle and can be easily removed if they don't work. An old fashioned and cheap solution used by many people who rode front endy Biankus horses here in the NW back in the day.

Try to find someone with a similar physical build and height that is designing and endorsing saddles. Ride a saddle of theirs, and you might be surprised how good it feels.

I ride a Crown C... and while I'm not as tall as Cervi, I am lean built like her with a longer torso and longer leg. Makes a lot of sense. My saddle does not throw me forward, though my old Billy Cook did, so I feel your pain! Good luck!
I'm the other way. I'm short and stout and well, carrying a very stylish booty and casting shadows...Lynn McKenzie's saddles felt like coming home the very first time I got into one. I've tried others since then, I just can't cope in them. I've got the Nueva, the Special, and one of these days I'm going to snag a Wide on a deal. Lynn is also short and very strong, her balance point and mine seem to be the same. This made a HUGE difference in my riding, I'd been in everything from an Ed Wright to a CJ to saddle not endorsed by anyone and that first ride in my Nueva, I knew I'd done something right. | |

I have special and a wide. I really want a nueva but they are hard to come by used so I'm going to have to save up and order a new one. I bought my special new 15 years ago. | |
