Actiflex 4000.. The liquid. It really does work in days. ( Dogs too) .Has way more amts of ingredients than anything else..and not costly. I also think it is important to have the Omegas , fish oil, flax, coocunut etc which is why I love Renew Gold ..
For an oil I think Equine Omega Complete is the best out there today if one needs to go that route.. Some are able to give up their joint supplements .

Glucosimine IM and Pentosan. I personally think feed thrus are a waste of money.

My friend with a really arthritic mare uses it and I haven't seen any difference in her movement.  I'd be more inclined to use Pentosan or Adaquan.

I really like using MSM on my young horse for maintenance and I've also seen improvement with my 16 yr old barrel horse on Lubrisyn.
Theres a really good review on how msm works at

http://rodeogearreview.com/supplements/animed-pure-msm

I've used several "off brands" cheapo's from places like horse.com that I didn't see any results with.

Im looking into trying a new joint supplement preferably in pellet form that is cost efficient for multiple horses with medium to heavy work (ride time). what do you use and why! thanks for all the suggestions!

I use Adequan injections for mine once a month. It's easy and I have seen a huge difference in my guys. My 27 year old QH has been on it for about 5 years. I can tell he gets a little stiffer coming in for dinner when it's close to the end of the month and time for another shot. I give it to my 8 year old mare I'm rodeoing on and feel it helps her too. The feed through ones are fine, but you don't really know 100% that it's getting to the joints. There is also an off-brand that's a little more cost effective you can use too. Adequan is about $50 a month give or take. Good luck!

Pentosan IM. Only MSM. I don't use any other feed through supplements anymore and I have just about tried them all. Get better results with the injection.
