Hungarian Midget Woman
Location: Midwest | This might be a little harsh, but that is not really my intention... these are just my honest reactions (I'm not trying to be snarky at all.) I don't think your ad is bad at all, but these are some things I would change.
Your pictures are not bad, but they are not "pretty". Get some pictures with a better looking background (which I know can be challenging in winter if you are north), even if they are from summer. I'd also put less of them up, just some conformation shots and maybe one undersaddle if it is pleasing to the eye. You can always send more pictures to interested people.
*MAKE AN OFFER* (I would leave this out, just put OBO, this makes it seem like you want to dump him) RBO Id Be Surprised aka Cactus is a 15.2 bay gelding. He will be 8 in March 2016. He's currently loping a consistent pattern at home, has been hauled to multiple barrel races in north Mississippi and west Tennessee. He's only been a couple of places since July of this year due to no fault of his own (I don't have a truck right now). He is not considered finished, but is ready to be pushed. He handles speed and pressure very well. (too much info)
Cactus knows all of Clinton Anderson's groundwork. (Lots of people don't like NH people) He is a people horse, loves attention, walks right up to you in the pasture. Cactus stands for the farrier, bathes well (he loves water), loads great, and travels great. He eats and drinks well on the road. He's very well behaved on the ground. He's pushed cattle, and could make a rope horse if someone was interested in starting him. (Leave this out... most horses could be roped off of... just stick to what he's done)
He is seen by the chiropractor regularly. He currently has front shoes on, but can run barefoot, too. He's soft in the face and rides in a Sherry Cervi Diamond Medium Shank to help keep his shoulders lifted. Cactus works best when the rider stays out of his mouth. (bits don't lift a horse's shoulders... this also conveys he might have "issues". If he does have issues, I would tell people after they contact you.)
This video was taken on 1-30-2016. The dirt is crap, so he really took care of himself and stayed up, didn't sit down into the turns. The rider had never loped him through the pattern before. (If the video doesn't showcase the horse well, don't put it up. Making excuses for the horse leaves a bad aftertaste.)
I may be interested in trading or partial trading for a confidence builder finished barrel horse under the age of 15.
Buyer coordinates shipping or add delivery charges to the price. Please send me a text or an email. I'm open to reasonable offers, happy for you to come try him out, or I can meet you at a local arena. (These are all things you can tell the buyer when they contact you). |

No problem! It's nice to see someone trying to represent their horse honestly! :) |

Location: Northwest Florida | I really like most suggestions made by barrelracr131. Removing info isn't necessarily hiding it, just being careful not to say too much which could give the wrong impression.
I would try to get more professional video and pictures. I had an ad up once for a month for a mare with little inquiries, replaced the mediocre pictures with some new, very good ones, and she was purchased sight unseen within 24 hours of the edit!
As far as price... Personally I prefer my unfinished horses to be younger than 8. That may be the hang up, and you may have to either start hauling and clocking him to make him more mareketable, or decrease your price a bit to make up for his age vs. lack of experience. Just my opinion! Good luck!
ETA: Leaving out the Clinton Anderson training and the bit specifics is also a great tip. By including details like that I feel you narrow your market. Personally I like CA, but some don't. I am guilty of looking through a horse's ad, seeing the word "Parelli" and clicking the back button though!

Location: Dearing, GA | Thanks y'all!!! I'm making changes now.
As far as the videos go... I don't have a truck and he really is currently getting limited hauling because of that. I am really forced to depend on other people to get him to an arena with decent ground where I can open him up. Should I leave the current video up or just take it down until I get a better one? |

| Very first thing I saw was that ill-fitting halter hanging low on his face -- which makes his head look awful and it probably really isn't. Easy fix, tighten that baby up for pics to better showcase a nice head! Otherwise, I agree with what's been said.
edited to say your ad already looks a lot more concise, which i think conveys confidence in the horse. Good luck!

| I agree with the above. The pictures are the first thing people see so if you can get 2 or 3 pics that make him look his best confirmationally, you will be better off. I can tell he has nice confirmation but the first pic is not the best, and that is what make people decide to click on it. The only thing I noticed in the video was that he came off the 2nd barrel wide. If you could clean that up, then it would make a difference. Good luck! Hes a nice horse. |

Thank you! I'll take pics this weekend when the weather is nice. |
