Location: Purcell Ok | I am in the process of acquiring a Designer Red daughter who is out of a Bully Bullion Daughter. This mare is a proven 1D horse(equistat earnings). She is now just broodmare sound. What crosses do you like to see on Designer Red mares? I was thinking a PYC Paint Your Wagon son as he has a great mind. |

| I think you would be doing the mare a disservice by breeding her to a PYC son. The reason I say that is...You have this great 1D mare, with barrel earnings and a barrel pedigree. Breed her to a stallion that is at least as nice as her, with 1D credentials and a barrel pedigree. Anything less is risky to you as a breeder and any potential buyer. Risk to the buyer means less money they are willing to fork out. So unless you are independently wealthy and dont care what you sell the baby for, or are planning on keeping the baby, I would stick to a proven barrel producer. Lots of nice options in that catagory. |

Location: Purcell Ok | Thank you! This is the kind of imput I am wanting!
Would you breed her to a Sunfrost stud? ASOF?
She will be my first from this bloodline. And yes I will be looking at selling the resulting foal.

| I assume she has plenty of speed, class and size. Which puts her in the **** near any stallion fits category. Asof has excellent resell on foals, but there is a lot of competition in the weanling market. Fwotr have good resell also but it is hard to get a contract. It really depends on your budget. |

| I would in no way go race lines with her lol the Designer Red out of BB daughter I know has no turn.... If she's anything like that I would go with a FG or Sunfrost son. |

| I would do FG if you had the budget or a son like A Smooth Guy or Frenchmans Fabulous or maybe Firewater Flit (himself or son) like FWOTR or Alive N Firen. Other options could be other Sun Frost sons like Dinero or breed to a stud with a pedigree like Slick by Design's maternal line. |

Location: Bandera, TX | I went with a hot bred race mare on my DR foal. He likes to turn and runs with the wind. He can get his screws loose at times but I think that was from the Mystic Eye mare. |

Location: Georgia | My opinion on this bloodline. Stay away from anything racey and hot natured. Seriously you are going to want to tone down that OTMR the best you can. Definitely go with something cowy and SANE. I had one crossed with a race mare who was a complete nut case. The one I have now is crossed on cow and has her moments, but for the most part is a wonderful horse. |

| Load up that babies pedigree with another double barreled shotgun .....
AND make sure sire can add a little more speed ...
This one is loaded on top barrel and the bottom barrel is a full sister to Frenchmans Guy
http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/french+streaktovegas
Then there about dozen bred roan on top and Dash Ta Fame on the bottom ..
like this one .. he is frzn semen this year ....only due to being on the futurity circuit ..
http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/a+dash+ta+streak
Anytime you can add FG bloodlines with Streaking Six or with DTF at the same time ...
DO IT!!
And don't be concerned on running hot .. it all depends on how they were raised and/or trained //
the bloodlines I point out above would not be successful if they were idiots ... lol
GOOD LUCK ..

| I think an awesome cross would be Fiestas Gotta Gun! Or ASG. :)
My FGG filly is coming two and she is laid back, STOUT and beautiful to boot. She floats when she moves and is my favorite out of that particular mare. (Dam is a PITS daughter out of a Shawnee Bug mare). Also Streakin Boon Dox is sure catching my eye with his down in the ground gritty style. |

Location: Where I am happiest | His highest earners have all been out of a working bred mare with the exception of SBD who is out of old run that did everything. So with that said, I would look to maybe A Smooth Guy, Frenchmans Fabulous, BHR Frenchies Socks, Firewaterontherocks , although his book is full for 2016 so you will have to watch his FB page for his book opening in oct for 2017 and be prepared to jump as it fills FAST. Like in hours fast as it is limited. Flaming Firewater, Fiestas Gotta Gun, ect. |

Location: Purcell Ok | Thank you guys for all the replies. After doing some research last night I am leaning more toward a Firewater Flit son, I wish I could do FWF himself but that's way out of the budget. |

| I thought about this all night. One of the best deal in the market right now is Frenchmans Fabulous. He is a steal at $2500 including your first shipment, considering what he has produced. If it were me, that is the direction I would go. |
