My mare runs away

I only have 2 hours in my schedule to ride my barrel horse and work with my 2 year old filly. My filly will walk right up to me in the pasture if she isnt by my mare. My mare has got into the habit of running away from me when she sees me come out of the house. Even when I put her in my smaller pen she will run and run. I have to get her into a stall to catch her. How can I get her to where i can catch her easier.

Make her move her feet until she stops and lets you catch her. She will soon learn being caught is a whole lot easier.

I catch mine twice a day to feed. You don't get caught, you don't eat. They learn fast.

I do this as well. I make sure I have the time to devote to it, and I will run them around the pasture till they face up, and stand for me to catch them.
I don't ride them every time I catch them, but will feed grain the first few times and let them be tied up.
I will even catch them several times a day.
It takes time, you can't be in a rush, you can't quit, and it works.
