I love mine. She is 9 and I bought her as a 3 yr old. She is by FTK and o/o an own daughter of Pure D Dash. She is funny, cute, smart, will bug the horns off of a billy goat, doesn't like dogs and will pick up anything that you set down. You have to pry her mouth open to get it... sunglasses, hoof pick, brush, water bottle, phone and anything else she can get.
She was little when I got her(only 14.2 now) so I didn't send her off to be broke until her 4 yr old year. when I sent her to the trainer, she had never had a saddle on. Within two weeks, they were riding her in the pasture checking cows. I do not like to ride young horses so when I dropped her off that day, I told the man if he thought that she was going to be stupid to please call me and I would come pick her up. I didn't hear from him until the first month was up and I was nervous. I was relieved when he finally called. He told me that she didn't have a stupid hair on her body and he wished that he had a barn full just like her. Fast forward five years, she still hasn't done anything stupid. She was started on the pattern as a 5 year old and was a natural. she has never been hot. she will still walk in the gate. She is quick, snappy, feels like a rocket leaving the first barrel, and is smooth. She has been used as a lesson horse and has endured kids camp. I have always considered her bombproof.
I don't know what coon footed is but I know that my mare has great feet. We didn't put shoes on her until two years ago, only on the front, and I don't even think it was necessary then.
I love my little FTK and she and I happen to think that she is 'ALL THAT'!!!

FUZZY - 2016-06-16 7:58 AM Since I own and love Flit To Kill sooooo much thank you for your comment on him. What the devil is "Coon Footed". Well you have told me something I didn't know. My mother has always taught me that if you can't say something good about someone or something, then keep your mouth shut. You could have been courteous and have PM'd the lady. Nice to meet you over social media. Thanks

I kind of agree and disagree with the statement of keeping your mouth shut. this isn't gossiping about who is cheating on who. this is buisness and money is involved. If someone knows of a flaw for a stallion either he has it or produces it; I think it is important that others know, so they can make a wise decision. I would expect them to be able to back up the statement with evidence though and not just run a name through the mud.

For example if someone knew that a horse was a PSSM carrier and tell someone who was thinking of breeding the horse It really does the whole industry a disservice. The poster that brought up coon foot wasn't talking about Flit to Kill but rather Killian Pacific and that trait may not even have passed to FTK so not really taken to be bad mouthing FTK  IMO.

teamthompson - 2016-02-29 2:09 PM i have a Flit to Kill grand dtr.... Reg name is FLIT AFLAMIN she is out of Randy Dubose stud Flits First Fling there in MS... her dam is a dtr of Flaming Jet and ran on the track... i got my mare as a 4yo, she is currently 9yo and fixing to have her first foal any day now by Streaking Ta Fame... YES, I agree w above poster, she was a late bloomer and can get on the nervous side.... we have had our ups n downs, but she has been my kids 4H halter, showmanship and all around horse, and placed and acted very well with my little kids.... she is very punchy and an overachiever, whatever u want she does quick and fast, lots of run to her...easy to teach bc she is not lazy she is protective to of me lol, she wants all the attention when my kids are around. she is solid sorrel, crazy thick and long tail, probably 14.2 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx we also had a half brother, same stud but he was Some Dasher bred on bottom side, sold him as a 2yo, his confirmation wasnt as good and he was lazy, his reg name was FLITS FIRST DASHER
I just bought a mare off Janet Stover that is a grandaughter of FTK, Randy Dubose had this mare prior. I so have to go look at her papers and see if her sire is same as yours. My mare dam is daughter of Power Train. Just got her 3 weeks ago Β she is sooooooo calm!!!

Here are pics of the brother we had: FLITS FIRST DASHER

The gelding in my profile pic is by Flit to Kill. My sweet T-Bo.
He can be quite a handful sometimes but he absolutely loves running barrels. He's only 14 and I'm having some soundness issues with him, but that could be due to many factors...

He is a little bit on the flighty side, but he is all focus when it's time to run. I always say there could be wild elephants running around the arena and he wouldn't see them, he zeros in on the three barrels and that's it. He's really pretty much auto pilot.
He is my favorite, and probably always will be. Every single morning he is the first one to come in from the pasture, and often "talks" to me on his way. He will stand all day for lovins from his mama. Lol I turn to mush talking about that horse.
He came to me skinny and covered in rain rot 6 years ago this month, and was a diamond in the rough. It only took 2 runs before we won money at a rodeo. He was finished, pretty much seasoned, but had always been on the back burner as the personal horse of a trainer.

He's on allbreed as Flamboyant Flit, his dam is by Easily Smashed.

He is now 24 so don't know how much longer he will be around. His semen was great this year and shipped well. We hope he will be standing next year to the public. Thanks again.
