I have a "gator" seat. It's not real gator, pretty sure it's just leather stamped like gator. It's on my Triple Creek saddle. It's not slick at all. I don't ride in bling jeans, if that's what you're referring to ruining the seat...my seat still looks like the day I bought it.

I heard gator is one of the strongest leathers.
I have two gator
(real
) seats and I don't find them slick, but I also have rough out fenders. I ride in my blingy jeans and haven't had an issue

thanks! I had ostrich once and my jeans tore it up. I didn't even have super blingy jeans either. I hated it so much. Glad to hear gator is different as I just bought one.

I have it on my Triple Creek, too. Mine looks great. It's black and doesn't show any wear. I'm the odd person out - I think it's slippery. Maybe it's because I'm used to suede, maybe it's because I ride sloppy. lol
