Location: Weatherford, TX | I did a BHW search for Fly Sheets and found one suggestion that might work....the Amigo Mio Fly Sheet.
I need a fly sheet that has the following: - doesn't make the horse too hot/very breathable in North TX heat - durable - coat fading protection or UV protection
As far as fly sprays, I am currently using Endure. I've had decent results with that. I had always used the Ultra Shield before, but it didn't faze the flies last summer in the TX heat. I tried several others last summer, just can't remember all the names.
Thanks for suggestions.

Location: Oklahoma | Don't get the Kool Coat fly sheet. I think it had the highest UV protection for my budget and it made my gelding (the one we spoke about ;) ) sweat terribly. I wanted to keep him from fading, but the sweat didn't help matters. I think you have to pick your poison. High UV protection means a fuller coverage and less room for airflow.
Pryahna fly spray is my favorite. It's all I buy anymore. I can usually get 2-3 days protection with one application.

Location: Weatherford, TX | Hey Longneck!!!
I just want to keep the fading to a minimum, but I also don't want him sweating. I might forego the UV protection. I can always feed BOSS too. I used to feed them a lot and got away from it.
I dont think I tried the Pryanna. I'll definitely try it.
Thanks a bunch!

Location: Phoenix | Curious also. I need UV protection AND airflow here in AZ. I'm using TriTec fly spray per my barn owner's wishes. I don't like how oily Pyrana is. I like the smell of the song but I don't think it's strong enough. |

Location: Tuttle Oklahoma | I use Rambo Fly Sheets, they really hold up well and are very durable. They seem thick but are breathable and give up to 70% UV protection. You can check them out on smartpak. |

No suggestions, but I am looking as well and would like to add one that doesn't rub the shoulders to the list. |

Location: Texas | I use the Amigo Mio full attached neck fly sheets. I really like them. I am in Central TX. Of course my horses still sweat some under them when it is extremely hot, but I think they enjoyed the relief from the flies more than a little sweat. |

You can get it in water base instead of oil base. I had a horse break out and his skin was literally slothing off from the oil base Pyrana. |

Location: Oklahoma | I use Kensington. Best thing I like is their customer service. If your sheet rips, etc they'll bend over backwards to help you replace it at less than full cost. They have great UV Protection
