Who has tried the Smart Tendon Pellets by SmartPak? Did they make any difference? Good, bad, and ugly please!

I have a horse with weak stifles and thought this might help. He is under vetrinarian care, has a specific strengthening exercise schedule, and has been chiroed, injected, etc for soreness. Good possibility next week at the next appointment he will be having internal blister done.

I fed it to my gelding for a while after a tendon injury that required surgery. He recovered very well, but I was doing other treatments so I can't say how much of it was due to the supplement. I realized that the main ingredients in it are MSM and gelatin, so I just started buying that because it's cheaper.

My expereince with that line of supplements is a little different than what you are dealing with but I figured I would share anyways...

We had a mare at my barn who had got into a wreck with some fencing. We thought we would have to put her to down due to her shoulder being almost completly seperated. She was put on SmartFlex Rehab (which if I remember correctly is a step up from SmartTendon but has all the same stuff) for 1 year. After just a couple months on the product she was looking and feeling really good, after another couple months we were back to riding her full time. We did nothing else other than add SmartFlex Rehab, chiro, and gave her as much time as she needed to heal. I really do think the SmartFlex Rehab helped her stay comfortable during that time and helped support her body to heal the tedon and ligaments in her shoulder.

Not sure about your situation but I do think Smartpak brand supplements are quality products. I no longer use them and have switched to Cur-OST but I was happy with most of them while I was using them!
