Location: NE TX | My mare was scoped and has EIPH and is on 10 Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim tablets (I think short hand is SMT) 2 times a day. I don't want to have to crush 10 tablets twice a day if I don't have to. I have given Ranitidine to her without crushing them and she eats them just fine but these are bigger than Ranitidine and I'm worried she won't eat them so wanted to get some input from everyone.
Thanks in advance. |

| Depends on your horse. Our mare was on a lot of medication last year, but luckily she was a good girl and just ate everything we gave her with no fuss so we just threw it all in whole. If your horse picks through their feed, then you probably would have to crush and mix it in. |

Location: Where the long tails flow, ND | I crush them, mix them with a little water and syringe them if I have one that won't eat them just crushed on feed. Mine wouldn't touch them whole.... |

| SMZ's dissolve in SECONDS in water. I take a big dosing syringe put the pills in it, add a little water and instant paste. |

Location: WI | These will dissolve super fast in water, no crushing needed! If you have a horse that still won't touch them because of the taste like mine, I resorted to dissolving them in Mountain Dew. Same affect, but adds a "sweet" flavor. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | SMZ's I disolve and give as a paste, Isoxiprine I crush and put in my geldings feed with a little ACV to get it to cling to the grain. He is a pig and will eat anything and I'm pretty sure he would be come un-catchable if I put a syringe in his mouth 2x a day for a year, LOL!!! |

Location: Oregon | I have one horse that loves to eat and I can throw pills in with applesauce or molasses and he won't skip a beat. I have another horse that is absolutely suspicious if there is ANY smell/taste/texture/color difference in his feed and is positive that I'm poisoning him, that I have to soak/crush pills, add molasses and syringe. Every time. |
