| Rest in Jesus' righteousness; it is His gift to you. The psalmist tells us, " Delight yourself also in The Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to The Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring forth your righteousness ( His gift to you) as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Psalm 37:4-7. When we desire Jesus, He becomes our " tree of life" Proverbs 13:12 Every desire of our hearts is satisfied in Him.
What do we do while we wait for His desire to be fulfilled in us? We are to rest in The Lord and wait patiently for Him. However, resting in The Lord is not the same as being lazy. Proverbs 13:4 the soul of a lazy man desires and has nothing , and is never satisifed
But the soul of the diligent shall be rich. V8 the ransom of a mans life is his riches, but the poor does not hear rebuke
Rest in the knowledge that Christ is at work in you, but work with diligence in all your assignments for His glory. Do all things no matter how big or small in the Mighty Name of Jesus. We must concern ourselves first with His righteous work in us before we consider our righteous work. For we are His workmanship, not the other way around.
V12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desires comes, it is a tree of life.
We can have joy and peace, which are the fruits of the Spirit, should mark us as Christians. But our main reason for seeking joy and peace should not be because these qualities make life more pleasant, but rather because we want our lives to glorify God.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
Jesus makes it clear that His peace is different than the peace that comes from the world. The world has is own ways of attaining peace. Some seek peace through exercise, counseling , drugs, alcohol , or other means. But whatever the means, the world's peace does not come from Jesus, or depending Him.
Jesus peace is the inner calm and freedom from anxiety that comes from TRUSTING in the sovereign God and KNOWING that you are obedient to Him.
We can rejoice that Jesus has sent the Holy Spriit to teach us.
John 14:26. But the helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name.He will teach you all things, and bring to your rememberance all that I said to you. John 14:5,8,22 but the day of the Pentecost, the Spirit would give them understanding and cause them to remember Jesus' teachings. We have the testimony and understanding of the New Testament.
This means that we can have confidence that the New Testament is inspired by God. As Peter states 2 Peter 1:16 for we did not follow cleverly devied tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty. All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for gaining in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. The more you study the Bible, the more you realize that is is supernatural, Spirit inspired book. The Bible, a Love Letter from God.
1 Corinitians 2:12 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know things freely given to us by God..... So dig into the Word and ask the Soirit to reveal to you" the things freely given to us by God". Ask Him to bring to your rememberance the Scripture that you have studied at times when you need to apply them.
Being a Christian doesn't keep us from trials, troubles, struggles, but the closer you become to Jesus, but the knowledge of the Word prepares you to get through them all.
For it is With God all th gs are possible

Live life in a way that those who don't know God, but know you, will become to know God because they know you.

Prayers for Steve Northcott got bucked off yesterday broke pelvis , internal bleeding, if bleeding controlled, surgery this morning.
Connie Cunningham, had gall bladder surgery couple weeks ago, still not feeling well, may have to have another surgery.
PRAISE GOD! My Dad is doing so good, got him off blood pressure meds, put him on folic 3 mg. and B12 shots, he is acting like his old self joking laughing given my heart so much joy! THANK YOU Jesus
BLESSINGS All heading this afternoon to Ogden Race for the weekend. Doing church service sunday 8 am. Going this morning. Care for dad mom go to beauty shop.
