Anybody ridden the Marlene McRae by Reinsman?  How does it ride in comparison to the Circle Y?  I never liked the Cactus version but loved the Circle Y.

I ordered one on trial from a local tack store. It was pretty but didn't fit my horse. Too narrow in the shoulders. I ended up with a Cactus Marlene that fits him nicely. I have never ridden the circle Y version so no help there.

I just bought 2 Reinsman Camarillo ( New style) that I absolutely LOVE. THey fit all my horses and they all have very different backs. I was previously a caldwell user and had spent over 10,000 in caldwells. THey fit my horses as designed beautifully but did not fit ME. These new reinsman Camarillos fit my horses just as good as a caldwell AND are music to my ears how they fit ME.

I ordered one and sent it back the next day.

It fit good. It was very different from what I'm use to riding in, but I think I would have adapted.

The craftsmanship IMO was terrible for the money. The leather felt very cheap and cardboard like, there were several parts of the saddle that were not well finished or finished differently on each side.

There is no way it would have held up to even moderate work IMO.

I'll stay with spending my money at the custom makers I know and trust will stand behind their work.

Hmmm, and I didn't care for the cactus, so we're are quite the pair.  LOL  I have a saddle that I really don't care for that is brand new, so I would be trading straight across.  So if I can ever ride it, that will be a step in the right direction.
