How much is a 7 year old daughter of Autumn Acre worth as a broodie. She is broke to ride and super gentle, she injured herself in the pasture last year and we do not believe her to be sound to ride any longer. Her sire earned $363,000 and had a short career as a sire before passing.

I think this depends on if she was shown and is (or is not) a money earner. That being said, she would be and awesome cross on anything High Brow Cat. There's a reputable trainer in Nevada who stands and breeds a HBC son, and I'm fairly certain he's always looking for broodmares to cross on him. If you marketed her to the right crowd, you could potentially up your price. If I remember correctly, he was interested in one of our broodmares with zero show record, for around $3000. (but this was a few years ago, my memory could be failing me )

Unfortunately, if she was never shown, and no moneys earned and no produce record of money earners, ...........she is a more difficult sale with not alot of value. . What did her mother do? IF her momma was shown and is a good money earner, and/or produced high money eaners then that will add some value and more willing to take a chance.

I agree with Three Corners .... resale value in the cow horse markets with a mare depends on money; earned, produce earned, dam records, etc.

It doesn't mean that someone won't be willing to take a chance, but you won't be getting high dollar offers on her either.

That market is just different from the barrel market.
