Soft rides vs easy cloud
I've read a lot of the threads on here about this subject already but of course didn't get the answer I was looking for..
My gelding doesn't have terrible feet, but I haul a lot and just looking for that extra support. I had soft rides and they were fine but sense looking at the cloud boots, they are lighter and don't have the frog insert. I wonder though, sense all horses naturally don't have the same frog can the soft rides make one sore? Having that pressure on a frog that doesn't actually fit?

I've only used the softrides. I bought a pair with the laminitis insert for a stallion I had just bought that was diagnosed with laminitis. They came the day after I put him down. So with that said I kept them and have used them on a gelding that had a short trim job done. They were big for him but the relief was immediate. Then I had a mare grass founder/she had IR. They brought her around and I shipped her to her new home in them and paid for the buyer to mail them back to me. Then I had a recent mare founder and she is still wearing them. I found out from recent x rays after she was stable enough for a vet ride, she has what appears to be a needle laying vertically across her coffin joint
. Waiting for the surgical vet to look at the x rays and get her in in he next couple days. For some reason they add enough cushion that she is about 90% sound. I will always have some on hand from my great experience with them.

The soft rides are great to have around, I also had a gelding grass founder and the soft rides made life so much easier for him, will not be with out them..
