Anyone have any experience with a chip on the hock? If so what did you do? Surgery or injections?

Location: Sunny So Cal		We were able to inject and have it work because it wasn't that big of a chip.

Location: Fairview, MT		Just depends on the horse and the chip size and placement. I've seen horses do fine with them left in. I had surgery done to remove it on my horse. It didn't really bother him but he was only 3 and it was big so I thought it was best to just remove it so it wouldn't hinder his future. He recovered fine and has been sound (he's six now). Probably will do adequin next spring. If your vet thinks it's an option I would maybe try injections first. JMO though.
