Owner of a ratting catting machine Posts: 2258	I'm envisioning a big tall horse that doesn't want to turn, but loves to run straight. If I were to be interested in this horse for a barrel horse, I'd want to be sure he was either proven or started correctly and slowly on the pattern.

Serious Snap Trapper Posts: 4275 Location: In The Snow, AZ	She came off the track as a four year old. Only a couple starts and never finished better than 5th. She is green broke. Mainly been on trails. 16 hand dappled grey. Not patterned in any way.

Owner of a ratting catting machine Posts: 2258	The only Eye Opener horse I've ever really been around was a run away, even when repeatedly and carefully vetted. He had a good handle and was started right but just would get on the muscle and up the fence and around the arena he'd go. I know there's some good ones running barrels, but I would very carefully research your project before you jump off into something with those lines. I'd be so so so tempted to buy her and stick her with a tiny little cutting stud and see what came of it!
