Awhile back I talked to a lady in Oregon and she said her local arena sold family memberships for them to ride in winter in a indoor arena. I'm looking for information on how it's set up so our arena can maybe do the same.

I know the OUTDOOR arena we have a membership at has a facebook page to collaborate with others who have memberships.

Each person has their own gate code and code to open the door to turn on the lights.

Ropers use the arena as well. Monday, Wed, Friday at set times are barrel racers/pole benders only. Tuesday, Thursday at set times are ropers only. Weekends are free for all unless an event is scheduled. Mornings are also free for all during the week.

Works out really well if you don't want to ride alone. You can post that you're going up there to practice or ride and have friends and families join you.

Many of the public owned arenas in Utah are set up this way.  There will be one price for a trainer, one for a family pass and one for a single rider and a different price for a day pass.

Example
Trainer (bringing mulitpul horses and students or owners to ride with them) $500 a year
Family (more than one must live in the same house and be related) $250 a year
Single (one person and personal owned horses) $100 a year
Day pass $10
