I have a mare by a son of Dash for Cash out of a Murrtheblurr daughter. She is 16 this year and I have had her since she was a yearling. She was hot hot hot and as quirky as could be. I loved that made though and once I learned to pick my battles she was a great rodeo horse and 1d barrel horse. She was the toughest and grittiest horse I ever rode. If she slipped she would run harder. I bred her last year and have a very smart and willing weanling but have decided to not breed her again until I can work with her colt for a bit.

Another person from the NW. And another that will not TOUCH anything that has him in the pedigree, EVER. Have personal experience with his OFFSPRING
(not grand, great grand ect...
). They tended to be either just plain idiots all the time, OR they were counterfeit
(which is even WORSE.
) Be riding along fine they come un corked any buck you orr and HURT you for no apparent reason. These were all 100% TB.
And I have ZERO problem "blaming" MTB, because I also had experience with offspring of the same MARES as the MTB foals, but by different stallions and they were WORLDS different.
Always hated that I hated the MTB horses so much because Never Bend is my FAVORITE TB, and i had plenty of others with him close up.

I have a 2 year old who is by a DTF/MTB Sire and the dam is out of Dashing Cleat....yeah I know.
However, SO FAR, he has been amazing to work with. I have had my hands on him every day since he was born.
I am NOT A TRAINER.... but I halter broke him, taught him to pick his feet up
(with help from farrier but did it daily
) taught him to load in the trailer and accept a saddle pad and saddle.
Basically he never did much but look at it.
He went to the trainer who wanted to purchas him, and he is still there. According to him and what I have seen, he has picked up everything almost immediately. He is working cows currently.
I understand the breeding issues, so my phylisophy is that we won't know until he has been seriously under pressure.
He has roped calves, had to swim, opened gates, lived with and with out other horses and had to be alone.
Famous Las Vegas
(the sire
) was very young when we made the cross, but there are 3 get from the prior year that are discribed almost the same. Also 6 or 7 from the year I bred.
MTB is a GGS on the bottom of the top...maybe it's diluted or I got a good one. FLV though is very calm and quiet and also a 1D stallion.
If I get cra cra, it's my own fault and it could come from so many places...but probably be a fast cra cra.
