Horses or cattle. Why? Yes why? Irons are subjective IMO. Super consistent in the way they hold the cold and that gives you a super brand. My husband branded 1000 calves every fall and we went thru many brands before he fell for L&H. Our horse brands are 30 years old and still place a great brand on the horses. We just ordered new # brands for the calves. We use alcohol and dry ice on cattle (takes us about 15 min a calf) and nitrogen on the horses.
