How are everyone's doing?? I'm super excited about mine, even though at this point I'm not sure how I'm going to make it happen between being the newest vet at a practice and planning a wedding for 2018.. but I'm still optimistic I'll manage to go.

Our two 2YOs are at different stages. The FDF filly I have is very mature and has a great handle. We can slow lope the pattern at this point, but I don't ride her hard right now. She's had the last month off due to school and is going to my trainer for 30 days (starting tomorrow) to evaluate what I've done with her so far. Hopefully it goes well and she likes what I've done, or fixes what she doesn't like :P.

The FWTF colt is not quite as far along as her. He can trot a very nice pattern but hasn't been asked for anything more than that yet. My sister rides him and is going at a little slower pace than I am.

I'm planning on pretty much staying in Texas and hitting those futurities as I won't be able to take a lot of time off. Thankfully there's now the two in Edna and that won't be far from me.

Mine has an interesting life, LOL! Last winter we started using him for trick riding for my youngest daughter. This summer in one of our associations I goat tied off of him. I've also been using him to move cattle. In his "free time" we are doing drills. He can slowly lope a pattern, I practice it very little with him because he's a quick study. Hoping to start taking him to exhibitions to get started slowly moving around the barrels. Hoping a year from now we are going good.

Here's a link to see a picture of them doing there thing

I'm not official yet!! I take my national boards in less than a month, but I do have a job lined up already! I am working on the weekends or whatever days I have available training and getting familiar with where things are and how things work. I will be official May 10 2017!

thankfully mine is a pretty fast learner as well, because there are some times where I am too busy to ride. She's always picked up right where we left off.

Gosh I really got lucky as well. I externed at this place, absolutely loved it, and found out they were hiring. It's getting harder and harder to find an equine job without doing an internship first, but they are willing to take me on and mentor me as I go.
