Thank you everyone for the kind remarks I was a little scared to post this but I thought I needed outside opinions of people who don't know me and surly won't sugarcoat anything lol! Unfortunately I live in town and just bought a house with no land so I'm boarding her at a local stable, I can afford two but it's a lot for Me right now, I'd rather have one and put every last penny into it. As much as I would LOVE to keep her as a backup I can't, she is zero maintenance and an easy keeper so it's gonna be hard to find one that is like her but better!

I'm hoping a Jr rodeo or youth rider will buy her because I love seeing the kids outrun me on my own horses.

Well I guess the search will be on then, I actually prefer to pattern them myself but at this busy point in my life id take one already started that had more potential. And hey, if I get my butt handed to me on a faster one then well.....I can't say I didn't try!

Thanks for all the support!

You have such a good attitude! I hope you find a good one and advance your dreams.

I don't know if I'd be brave enough to past my video here, CONGRATS!!  Your mare wants to work and I agree with those that said you ride her well.

Here's a different perspective to consider.  Maybe you're overthinking things.  Is your mind creating thoughts that are setting a barrier to your dreams?  It sounds like you're working hard at your dreams, don't let your perception of success make you feel inferior!  Everyone who has ever barrel raced has come to a point where they need to step up and change something- whether it's the horse, the equipment, their personal skills, etc...

I'd get the high-powered big prospect and run 2, like someone else already mentioned.  Different styles of horses will really open your mind and hone your skills.  If you think you need to make some physical changes in yourself, do it!  Just start with baby steps that are easy to incorporate in your lifestyle.

Most importantly, get rid of the self-doubt.  Your dreams are never too big for your talent.  Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard!  Read "The Mind Gym."  Watch Rocky movies.  Build yourself up!  Ride with people who you admire.  Ask those people for help and advice... but don't ask just any "Betty Barrel Racer," or you'll find your head spinning as you sort the useful stuff out of the bull$h!t.  Be confident, you can do whatever you set your mind on!

(Carry on while I work on listening to my own words of wisdom! HAHAHA)

This is a GREAT post!!! Well said, ND3canAddict!!! Here was my devotional for today. It pretty much says what I want to say to you, so I cut and pasted it because that was easier than typing it all. lol Only YOU can limit your talent.

Today’s Scripture
“...I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
(Isaiah 43:19, NIV)

A Supernatural Perspective
So often, people limit themselves in their thinking. They don’t think they’ll ever accomplish their dreams. They start thinking they don’t have the talent, the connections or the funds. They don’t think a marriage could ever be restored or they’ll ever get out of debt. But that kind of thinking comes from looking at things in the natural. That’s a limited perspective. We have to realize that God is a supernatural God. Just because we don’t see a way doesn’t mean that God doesn’t have a way. God can bring one opportunity across your path that will thrust you to a new level. He has explosive blessings that can blast you out of debt and into abundance! He can do what medical science can’t do!

Today, I encourage you to take the limits off your thinking. Lift up your eyes to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith. Trust that He is working behind the scenes on your behalf and will make a way out of no way. Remember, what you are facing may seem impossible with man, but when God puts His “super” on your “natural,” anything is possible!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your hand of blessing on my life. Help me to take the limits off my thoughts and see with a supernatural perspective. Today, I choose to lift up my eyes to You, Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith in Jesus’ name. Amen!”

I think if you cleanup your turns you should be able to move up a D. If you really want to improve be sure to get your video every time and video the horses' runs that are winning or running in the top of the 1D. Compare their turns to yours. Watch their hands. If you can get a copy of Mark Burt's video that he does at the Josey Clinics. Mark talks a little too much but he explains how to properly turn. Very good explanation. Even better attend a Josey Clinic. Mark will be there videoing every runner. If you can find a video of Cassie Mowery, watch her hands. She has about the quietest hands I believe I have ever seen. Don't know her and have never seen her run other than YouTube but her hands are that noticeable. Watch tonight's NFR. (Sunday) Can't find anything wrong with any of those girls. Compare their turns to yours.

I agree we could get faster in our turns, she has always been more of a front Endy horse, when I got her she was just "barrel broke" someone forget the basics so I've had to do a lot to get her to use that rear end also. Her style is smooth and I know drills to get her faster in her turns and snappier but I have to get up with her as well I just think my weight hinders her ability a lot as well. I bought a treeless saddle to help me sit better also.
