Looks like it has started again. Barn at the Fair Grounds in Louisiana has been quarantined.  So far 1 one has been euthanized. In Oklahoma we have been on a 90 day vaccine schedule for a year now if you are transporting into a track.

We have the same vaccine schedule here, every 90 days. Do you know whos barn or where the horse came from?

I believe the article said barn 14, and it was an unraced 2 yr old that was euthanized. That's all I really know at this time. I'll see if I can find the article. Alice Cohn is trainer.

Well, 2 more cases. One out the same barn and another in a seperate barn. Not looking good for this year as far as NO cases.

Oh crap! Where did you hear that?  I know the second barn with a positive test at the FG had horses hauling in and out from the Evangeline training center.  I was going to go rent stalls at Copper Crowne so I could train since it is now too muddy to do anything at my house.  Thinking I may need to just stay home for a while, this is too close for comfort this year!

It was on the paulickreport this morning and also on horse races now. It said no horses shipping into or out of delta or FG. Delta is day to day.

I'm glad they ae shutting things down for now.  I saw where they are not accepting any horses from Louisisana at Sam Houston or Oaklawn, not even ponies.

TONS of scratches at Delta because of them closing the backside. Should be easy to win :-)Β

According to Horse Races Now this morning, an infected horse has been allowed to be removed from the backside of the Fair Grounds to a vet's private farm.

Yes, I heard that. That horse had the non-neurological strain, still not sure why they let it leave and why you would want an infected horse hauled in to your farm.

I'm wondering that too. Lock down is lock down. Does not matter who the trainer is.
