Location: Southern Alabama | I'm sure at this point, I probably sound like a broken record..... ?I just recently bought a grulla roan mare that is granddaughter of Roobie's Rooster on the top side. ?I know nothing about horses bred this way..... nada, zip, zero. ?What I can tell about her is this - she is very 'in my pocket' I saw my pocket because she wants nothing to do with other people... only me. She will leave feed, hay, even the fence line where her buddy is, to come hang out with me. She is very nasty to other horses in the pasture, very much the alpha mare. She is very sensitive, to her surroundings, me, everything. She is NOSY and has to lick, chew, grab, pull, whatever on everything. She also has this super annoying habit.... if I am withn sight of her and I do not come hang out with her, she will rub her top teeth back and forth on the gate, making a sound worse than nails on a chalkboard. ?She is super honest and has a lot of try. Seems, so far, to have an outstanding work ethic.
So, ladies and gents... tell me the good, the bad and the ugly. |

Location: Arkansas | Rooster I think is reining, but he has some brothers that had cutting and/or reined cow horse babies I believe. Other than that, and being very pretty, I know nothing!! |

Location: Southern Alabama | I did a little research of my own last night... looks like Robbie's Rooster contracted EPM as a 2 year old(I think that is what his age was) so, he never had a chance of becoming a performance horse.
?I am really wanting to know others experiences with horses bred this way. You know, some that have had horses bred similarly in their barns, etc. |

My mare is a great grand daughter. A grand daughter of Robbie's Rooster. So far, I am loving this girl. She can be kind of.... fragile minded. She is not one you can bully into something. But, her atheleticsm is crraaaazzzyyy. |
