Location: PA | I love my 5 Stars. The wade pad is a "hard" pad IMO, like a hard cardboard is what it makes me think of. |

| 5 stars
The wades appear stiff as has been said, but I've never actually put my hands on one, love my 5 stars too much and have used most of the other ones. |

| I have used both, both are descent pads.
The wade appears more stiff, but it does conform to your horse, I like the contour and stability better in the wade as the pad never squishes down and puts pressure on the wither. |

Location: Where the buffalo roam | I use both and like them both. I like the 5 Star for every day and use the Wade in competition except for my futurity horse. She is so short backed I went with a 5 Star vs. ordering a new Wade. |

Location: In my own little world | I like my Wade pad because of it being stiffer. It will conform, however it does not compact like a 5 Star will. I have noticed the black 5 Stars compress more than the beige colored pads (why...I have no idea).
I never thought I would like the Wade's because of being so stiff but I love mine! Hands down my pick over 5 Star. |

Location: Southern Indiana | 5 star. The wades are light, but it made every single one of my saddles pop up. It just flat out didn't work when a regular felt pad worked great. I won mine and sold it for a pretty penny. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | I almost bought a Wade, but the more I handly it and mess with it, I didnt like how stiff it was, I know it was not broke in but why do I have to brake in a pad so it will form to my horses back, I didnt like the ideal of having to break one in, now my 5 Stars I dont have to break them in they already form to my horses as soon as I put them on, and been useing 5 Stars for years and never had one to lose it's form.. Love my 5 Stars and how I can have them custom made with my brand..

| I have both and honestly my 5 star is just sitting collecting dust. That being said, my main mount has heavy maintenance in his back so I need something stiff for him. |

| I have heard of more people disliking the Wade pad. Like posted above.. too hard. I have used a 5 star for over a year and love it! Fits both of my mares great who are 2 different builds. Of course every horse/saddle fit is different.. |

THIS! No need to repeat it, you covered it perfectly. :) I HATE the stiffness of the Wades. |

Location: Georgia | have both and like them both equally. It depend on the horse and saddle comination as to which pad I will pick. I will say I had my wade lined with fleece on the bottom and it makes it much softer on the horses back. |
