| I have a cutting bred mare (High brow cat, Freckles playboy, Smart little Lena on the papers). Looking to breed her this spring. The stud fee budget is about $3500. I had A smooth Guy, Epic Leader, Slick By Design in mind. Thoughts on crossing these studs on this mare? Any other studs that cross well with cutting bred horses? |

| If it were me I'd go with Slick By Design. The babies I've seen by him have been really nice and I think he's just going to get bigger and better from here. |

Royal and Famous is a consistent 1D horse. Ran the fastest time of the 2014 BFA Derby Finals. His dam Go Royal Scarlett LTE $300,000+3 time NFR qualifier has produced the horse that won the semi-finals qualifier at Mesquite and set the new arena record at OKC Derby with a 14.8, Royal Star Commander. Famous Scarlett his full sister was on the cover of Barrel Horse News. His sire is Dash Ta Fame is a proven sire producer. He would be a clear choice for your breeding program!

I love the pedigree of your mare and I love the cow horses. However, givin the pedigree I would strongly advise getting your mare 5 panal tested BEFORE making a breeding decision. A Smooth Guy is awsome and I love his foals but he does have a GBED and a HERDA marker. IF your mare has a marker I sure would not go there. |
