My One year old has started calling Dogs, Horses, and Cows "Babies". My SO says it's because I say: "Hey baby." Everytime I talk to the animals...

We were at the park this weekend and a squirrel ran across the jogging trail in front of us. She stopped, got all excited and said "Mum! Baby! Baby!" And pointed and ran after it. I guess now all the animals are going to be Babies.

What is something funny your child has said or called something?

When my now 5 year old was just starting to talk, he was in a holderman Mennonite home for daycare while I was at work. The mom called her husband "Honey" when she spoke to him, so my son started calling him that. His name was Russ and we all got a big kick out of it.
At 2 he would sing along with songs. One night he was singing Pink's Try. A day or two later I was getting ready for work and heard him talking in his crib. I paused and listened and he was saying "I gotta get up and try! I gotta get up and try try!" This went on for a while.
He was probably 3 and a half and was trying to convince me that he needed to ride my horse. This horse is one of those huge ego, gogogogogogo have to hold him back all the time, he don't wait for nobody type of horses. I told my son that I didn't think it was a good idea as he was even hard for mommy to ride. He didn't miss a beat and informed me that "I can ride Hummer, easy peasy lemon squeazy!"
He was very linguistic at a young age and had a lot of funnies. He was 4 before I put him in a booster seat and was one day trying to buckle himself up...finally he sighs in frustration and said "this is SUCH a catastrophe!" He also regularly used "ridiculous" as a 3 year old.
As well spoken as he was, my 15 month old is equally NOT. He has no want to use words and resorts to the grunt and point. It's been frustrating to say the least.

Our 4 year old is autistic but she sure can talk, not much of it makes sense (except to us because we know what she means) but for the longest times horses were COWS. She has just recently started calling them "HORE" which can be embarrassing becAuse out in public she says "hore" a LOT and people look at us funny! I'm lucky when she says 2-3 words in a sentence. The other day she said "I can't reach" and "I love you" for the first time to me, it's the little things that matter most to us!

My 3 year old saw one of those blow up 8ft Santa Clause's in the store after Christmas. He ran up to him and said "Santa Clause, I want a monster truck." It was hilarious.

My son is two and a half. He has his own vocabulary, which I think is just so cute. He says the endings of words a lot... and, for some reason, adds an o to the front of the word. Some of them I can understand. One cartoon has Robo-dog and that gets turned into o'dog. Santa is o'clause. there are several others I can't remember right now. Castle is sawah. I have no idea where that comes from, but when I try to correct him, he just shakes his head and repeats, "sawah". He called my husband by his first name the other day. Repeating after me, of course, but that didn't go over well. Funny, though. His latest thing is saying, "Terrible." Then there's "No, top it!" which, of course is "No, stop it." So hard to correct him when I'm smiling and laughing.
I almost forgot, the other day we were in a store. Of course, he wanted to play because he's two. I was making him leave and he was crying (of course) but, he started yelling "help, help..." repeatedly! I was just sure someone was going to call the local cops about the whole scene.
