A long time ago someone posted pics of their home that they renovated from an old barn to a beautiful home. I would love to see pics of this home again. I am getting ready to put tin on the front of my home along with barn wood and am looking for ideas. I do remember that they aged their tin and would like to know how they did it.
Anyone remember this thread??
Anyone have pics of their rustic home/ideas?

Thanks!!

We soaked our new tin roofing in a pool of vinegar. We put 1/2" PVC pipe for spacers between the sheets and let them soak. The hotter it is outside the quicker the process.

Β Beautiful, you are so talented. Β  I love the effect of the flowing drapes.

Thank you. I wanted a softer texture to play off the "roughness" of the beams.

These before and after's are from a couple of years ago. The landscaping has filled in a bunch.

I was looking back through my original post from a few years ago and realized those pictures still had the "first" floor in them. The guy that did the stain did a terrible job, the concrete wasn't level, it wasn't the pattern we asked for a whole host of other things wrong.

Last year we had a different guy come in and sand down our entire floor and bring it back to natural. Now the beams and woodwork can do the talking and not the obnoxious floor.

Thank you so much RoanRider!

Your home is beautiful! I love every bit of it. Just with I had half of the talent that you have. We will see how ours turns out...
