I've been looking for some plan that barrel racers do to take care of thier horses legs either in the trailer heading to a rodeo, on the way home or the day before a competition. I haven't found any real routine and was just wondering what y'all do.
Thank you!

Copper only wraps from PHT. They keep the legs tight and cool and are really easy to wrap.

None unless you have an injury. Builds heat, which is counterintuitive to wanting to cool the tendons down and reduce inflammation. and wrapping constantly weakens tendons. For horses that stock up, yes I believe there is a purpose in wrapping there. Have you even seen someone wear a brace on a wrist/knee/ankle and see the decrease in strength and tone once they don't use it?

This. And I have asked several different lameness vets and they all have told me that you cannot wrap tight enough for support. The only reason I ever wrap is when hauling with other peoples' horses to get any protection I can give tehm from being kicked.
