I am wondering on health care costs for an individual with a fairly low paying job that does not offer insurance or no job. What does it cost on average? Are deductibles high?

I had a catastrophic plan for $287/mo. $6,600 deductible. I do get 3 visits for $30 but after that it all comes out of pocket.

I think you can sign on to the market place and browse. I was paying $117 last year working a $12/hr job had anthem $1000 deductible very good plan. This year it was going up to a $4000 deduct like $250 per month. Luckily I got a full time job with benefits. This was for IN and included the tax credits. I haven't done my taxes yet but I'm nervous! It was absolutely insane to me how much the plans went up and how much crapier they got. Hopefully they do something soon with Obamacare, even my work insurance is high and I only pay 20%.

Mine went up over $100 a month from last year. Plus deductible went up along with co pay and my part of medicine. Unreal

I went through the Marketplace, and pay less than $30 a month for medical (Humana). I added dental for an additional $16 per month. I am low income, and was probably able to get such a good deal because I was a college student.

I pay about $150/Month through work for United Health. I have a $1,000 deductible and my employer pays the other $150/month. So my plan is really $300/month but my employer pays the other half. ER Visits are $350 and Insurance pays the rest.
I don't have vision or dental. My visits are $25/ea and include Hydrotherapy, Cryotherapy, Chiropractic Care/Preventative, Accupuncture, and other forms of therapy. It even covers mental health visits if I was to ever need it LOL    All visits are only $25/ea. My medicines including pet meds I get at our Grocery store. Sign a Family of 4 up plus two pets for $25/year and get generic meds for $3.
I like that it isn't just traditional medical care that's covered. I can go with other methods of care instead of traditional ways and still be covered.

I just hope people understand and appreciate who is actually paying for their health insurance. Keep that in mind, and don't forget it.

Couldn't afford the penalty so I signed up. Hopefully my work will be able to start providing us with insurance here soon but this is the first year I signed up for the marketplace.

Didn't put that I'm paying over 400 a month for just me. I'm healthy and never have to go to the doctor, so I can't imagine how much it would cost if I had health issues. . . .
