| I recently bought a 5 star and am absolutely in love with it! But I'm also interested in the SPH pads. What do you guys like better? |

| I have used both and I actually prefer the SPH. They are made at the same manufacturer as 5 Star so great quality. Love the wither relief and the close contact from the cutout. I will probably be a life long customer!! |

Ummm, NO. They are NOT made "at the same mfg'er as 5 Star pads." 5 Star pads are the ONLY pads made at their place of business, I couldn't tell you where SPH are made. IF you mean, they get their felted wool from the same mfg'er, then that is possible - many pad makers do. But each company has their own "recipe" for the amount of actual virgin wool that is in the rolls of felted wool they buy & 5 Star is the ONLY one that gets the F10 & F11. I would suspect SPH are F15, just like Slones, Wrights, etc. |

The way I see it, if they cost roughly the same, I'll stick with my 5 Star! |

Sorry Rockyroad. Yes that is what I meant. I love the 5 Stars, but the SPH work better with my particular horse. Both high quality pads! |

I agree. I do not like the way they're shaped at all, they look like they'd be a problem for a horse with a shorter back and even on horses with longer backs the skirt still sticks up. I'll stick to my 5 star. |
