From the looks of his fb page he throws a lot of color. I'm not brave enough to go the Appy route yet.

We should get a support group together and all go off the deep end and breed to an appy next year!! LOL!!

If I had an available mare and knew I could get a colt that looked like Daddy, I would jump at that deal.  He is a looker and well bred, even without resale value.

There really is no big value loss in the ApHC world if you get  a solid. We get to show our solids right next to the color at ApHC shows. Yes you have to purchase a permit but its a small price to pay for the solids to hold their value. Yes its disappointing because I believe if you are breeding App's you want color and its disappointing when they come out solid. Trust me been there done that but it only decreases their value slightly. Find them a job they are good at and it doesn't decrease their value at all.

I think for me personally a solid app or solid paint is perfect! But totally understand breeding for color, I'm just not ready to go down that road yet. That being said I do appreciate a gorgeous colored app.
