| Are there any particular brands that fit narrow horses best? One of my horses almost needs a semi QH bars but they seem to be hard to find. I have a Crown C now but it doesn't fit him at all so time to start looking! There are so many different brands and I don't even know which ones I should start to look for! |

What size of gullet on the crown c? And how is it not fitting, too wide, too small? |

| My gelding is pretty narrow and a standard tree pozzi with a CSI pad fits him great. I tried a merrill on him and also on my broad backed, wide shouldered high withered mare (still haven't found anything to fit her) and she hated the merrill. |

| I have a saddle with 6 3/4 gullet that is narrow in the rear. Has nice flare and rock. Doesn't fit a dang thing I own. Reinsman brand, but we had lettering put on it for my mom winning Srs. I need to try to convince her to sell it. |

Location: Idaho | I'd look at Teskeys, and also the Circle Y Proven is also semi QHB. But usually Teskey's are made to fit very well, I do have one that I used on my gelding when he was young and growing. It has a wide gullet but only semi quarter horse bars, and now he has become more flat backed, mutton withered and round and I put him in a courts. Teskey's are also very helpful when it comes to find something that fits your horse! Before I bought my courts, I went and talked to them about what I needed, and they were honest and told me that they didn't make what I needed in a barrel saddle (at least without custom ordering it) and I didn't have the money for a custom saddle. So I was grateful for their integrity! |

Location: Where you need a paddle... Oregon! | Not saying they are built for narrow horses, because I don't even know, but my Triple Creek fits both my mares and neither of them are wide. Both are more thoroughbred in their build and finer boned. I use a 5-Star pad with it. |

Location: Ohio | The late 90's Circle Y team penning and barrel saddles have fit some of my more narrow youngsters the best in the past and they are usually easy to find. Both are on semi qh bars. I got a penner on ebay for under $500 shipped and the NBHA/Proven barrel saddles can usually be found under $700. They are really popular in my area so it may be worth asking friends and seeing if anyone has one you could try... |

It's a 7 inch gullet and seems to be too wide. It kinda just collapses on his back right behind the shoulders. If I ride any longer than like 30 mins without a breast collar it slides way back on him. |

I've always thought the pozzi's are on the wider side but it's good to know the standard tree fits! Thanks! |

| If you are not opposed to a flex tree, the Deb sibley's standard is pretty narrow. And yet flexes a bit throughout the rest. |

Crown c saddles are supposed to sit farther back.
The saddle I really like for my narrow horses is the billy cook sulphur Oklahoma 1501 it has a buster welsh tree.
I find it rides similar to the crown c saddles, you sit square not on your pockets. |

Yeah my Crown C sits farther back but it slid literally halfway down his back lol the cantle was almost to the middle of his back and I probably would have slid all the way back if I hadn't gotten off to fix it. I'm thinking that's a clear sign it doesn't fit well! I think I've seen a few used Billy Cook saddles to I'll see if I can try one out! |

You do mean the swell/pommel of your saddle sitting in the middle of your horses back, right?
