I hope this makes sense but I am wanting to try Cur-Ost on a horse with inflamation issues but I need to put them on some ulcer/stomach supplement before I start hauling so I was looking at THE Gastro formulas as they are on sale. When I have supplemented in the past I did an all in one but I don't feel that formula will work for this horse. Anyone have any input on this mix or what you have had success with?

I have a LOT of success with ANY of the curost formulas and then adding curost stomach. But I would not see a problem mixing curost and THE

It won't hurt a thing. I have had customers use up Animal Element while switching at the same time to THE.

This is so funny that you posted this today! I've been thinking the EXACT same thing for the past two days. One of mine is on Total and Immune, and I feel that I need to address ulcer issues too and wasn't sure if I could add the THE Gastroplus.

The Cur-OST EQ Total Support does offer stomach/ulcer support itself and would get manage the inflammation you're targeting as well as provide the stomach with some support as well.  For some horses, they do need the Additonal EQ Stomach, but ideally only short term, considering other contributors are managed.

Yes you sure can mix them and GastroPLUS is on sale this month which gives you some nice savings! 30 scoops shipped is $88 and 80 scoops (roughly 2 1/2 months worth for 1000# horse) is $200 shipped.

You are addressing the ulcer issues with that combination honestly.  You really shouldn't need to add in any additional stomach support, as both of those products contain the herbs used to manage ulcers or inflammation in the stomach.

So you think I can just try the Total then? This horse is just really sensitive and I know when I start hauling they are going to get stressed as I am just starting to season.

What is the rest of your program, as far as feed regimen?  If he gets worked up when hauled, I would add in the Adapt & Calm with the Total Support and leave it at that.  Of course I would highly recommend you remove any and all processed feeds from his diet as well as supplements.  In the pictures I have posted in the past when I first began this journey, my horse had been on daily prescription ulcer treatment, 10 cc of Ventipulmin combined with high doses of Dexamethasone, and was receiving 2 scoops twice a day of Bluebonnet Omegaforce Itensify and he still looked like crap.  Removed all that, quit the grain and the medications cold turkey.  Put him on alfalfa twice daily, a pound of whole oats with a cup of BOSS once daily, plus his Cur-OST (Total Support & Immune & Repair with Adapt & Calm) and he came back so quickly I was shocked.  I'm a huge supplement skeptc.  This is sooooo much more than a supplement!  I stayed on the Total Support, Immune & Repair, and Adapt & Calm for 90 days, then just maintained with the Total Support.  I DO recommend you do the loading dose of the Total Support for the first 14 days though.

She is on free choice mixed grass hay, 1.5#s of Renew Gold mixed with another 1-2#s of alfalfa pellets, and an Equilix tub. No supplements because I can't decided what I should or should not do. She looks okay but not fantastic yet so I'm going to be ramping up her hay and feeding her a flake or two of straight alfalfa as I get back to working her. I will give the Total a try then. It's just money right? haha

Have you thought about trying OE Align. It has everything in it that your horse is needing.
