| He approached me at a barrel race this past weekend. He liked to talk alot but he seemed a little too confident. He kept telling me that he has thousands of championships and has created hundreds of champions. I asked him if his product is so great, then why not approach a professional barrel racer. (I think they would laugh at him) He told me he wouldnt do that because he wants his product to beat the champions. He also told me that its hard to be a vendor at events because he would outsell his competition and that he gets denied alot...... which i dont believe. Ive seen several saddle companies sit right next to each other at shows. He kept saying barrel racers ride like western pleasure people and that barrel racers need to stand up around a barrel. He wasnt too happy that i wasnt sold on his product. |

| I think I would ride in a Brazilian Barrel Saddle before I ever rode in one of those contraptions... I'd like to see who is riding his saddles, since he says the top 1% of barrel racers are riding them. I didn't see one at the American today, or the NFR, BFA, BBR... interested to see where he's getting that percentage from. |

Location: Do I hear Banjos? | The guy sure seems like a blowhard. He spouts all sorts of claims about his saddles for endurance riding as well. He made some claims about TEVIS champions (100 miles in 1 day gold standard endurance ride in the US.)...thing is...those folks keep excellent records and his claims were proven false.
Even if his saddles were a miracle and made every horse a winner...I'd be so turned off by his attitude I'd not pay him a dime for one. |

| *UPDATE* About 4 months into riding this I really like it. I did make a run on my good horse that qualified me for the NPRA finals (here in the NW) and I did not even feel close to insecure. I'm thrilled! I bought one. I like the Monty Foreman rigging the balanced ride concept and the reasonng behind it, but the jury's still out on the saddle. Now I'm understanding that it's the rigging I'm wanting and not necessarily this particular saddle style.
At first I had a heckofa time trying to stay in it. I was making a run on a "colt" (older but getting patterned), thank goodness that worked out! cuz I was totally preoccupied with not falling off!
I had tried to sell it & nobody wanted it, & now I'm happy about that because this mare I'm riding just frees up with it. She had some head tossing etc issues for years and now she's chewing and relaxed mounting/dismounting. I took the sponge bars off and just use a felt pad which sticks to the saddle from the velcro on the underside of the saddle. It's all one piece now and I kinda like that.
I haven't made any runs since that one time. I'm pretty certain that if I tried to make a run on my good horse who qualified me for the NPRA finals I would be flying off around the turns.
I'm riding in it every day that I train & my sense of security is getting better & better. I'm really liking the feel of it. We'll just have to see. I'm sticking w/the rigging, but might need a different saddle style.
And yes I agree he is difficult to listen to alot of the time. There is an obsession there that becomes obnoxious and insulting, and it causes people to run the opposite direction. It's difficult to win friends and influence people when you're making them wrong all the time!

Location: In my own little world | Anyone who feels the need to be as obnoxious and forward in their marketing sales pitch as he is...well let's just say it's not a good business plan. Id like to see proof of all of his claims. i don't want to listen to them, I wasn't to SEE them.
I wish him the best of luck but I don't see me buying one. |

| I did see the American Qualifier who ran in one at Cowtown last week, but I think her horse ran up the fence on the first. I figured she musta felt confident on it or she wouln't have chosen to ride that in such an important race!! |

She definitely looks to be sitting down in the turn and not standing up.

| She might have stood up to go in. No picture to be able to tell. I noticed Jimmy Bryant looked like he stood up coming in & sitting going out at American slack. |
