Location: Aggieland		As soon as I start riding, usually at the trot my mare will cough a couple of times then proceeds to snort/blow. It happens in all seasons. Could it just be allergies or more?

 Could be allergies could be more.   There is a condition that causes scaring on the cicatrix, eventually it can get bad enough that it restricts breathing to the point of needing  a trach.   Symptoms are coughing and runny nose-the same as allergies and many other things.   The only way to know is to get the horse scoped.
