I did. It only came up with their FB page (which has good reviews besides ppl that seemed to have ordered thru a 3rd party that didn't recieve all this person said would come with their saddle order) and some old ads for Slaton roping saddles. That's why I was hoping somebody here had heard if them amd could speak to their quality.

He's not someone i'd do business with. He came from Trent Ward saddlery. Just a little punk kid.

Ok, but what if you were buying a used saddle of his from somebody else? I saw several bad reviews about how he does business but nothing on the quality of his work. I'm not really worried about how he does business since I won't be doing business with him. So I am looking for information on quality. She wants $1600 for it and I would like to know if they are actually worth that.

Thanks for the responses! I definitely wouldn't be getting a saddle through him. Are you saying that his saddles aren't good quality along with him not being an ethical businessman? The saddle I'm looking at is a year old and I would be buying it used from somebody else. Since i wouldn't be doing business with him, would you say his saddles would we worth $1600 shipped? Or do you not know about the quality of his work, just his shady business practices?

There's no way I'd give $1600 for a used saddle of his. You never know what tree he's used, depending on how much money he had at the time decides what leather he bought to build the saddle.

Thank you! It's supposes to be on a modified Buster Welch tree, which I have heard good things about. I didn't think about if he is super shady that he might not hsve built it the way he told this girl he did.
Lol, it is a full roughout hard seat which is exactly what I want, but is hard to find something for my wide backed mare that is even close to my price range that is a hard seat.

If you like the saddle and have the money just buy it. But first make a offer of x amount of money. Since they are asking 1600.00 then offer 1350.00 I would and then work from there
