What do you do to keep your HORSE in top shape?
What is your weekly routine? (How long? How many days? Etc)
Supplements for muscle gain? Y/N, if so what?

What do you do to keep YOU in top shape?
What is your weekly routine? (How many days do you work out? Cardio or Weights?)
Supplements? (Such as protein, bcaas, etc.)

I personally long trot my horse 3-4 times a week for 2 miles. Tune 1 time a week. I joined a gym and started lifting weights a month ago. I try to go at least 3 times a week but really need to go more. I take protein on workout days and bcaas during my workout.

For my horse, lots of hills and long trotting.

For me, I run 5 days out of the week and focus on eating right and drinking lots and lots of water.

Neither my horses or myself are on any sort of supplement.

This is my usual schedule...

Monday - Run 3 Miles
Tuesday - Run 2 Miles
Wednesday - Run 2 Miles
Thursday - Long Trotting Horses
Friday - Trail Ride Horses
Saturday - Barrel Race
Sunday - Rest or Barrel Race

This is very flexible, but I always run 7 miles a week. My horses get an hour each on riding days.

In the future I would like to dedicate more riding time into my life.

No supplements for anyone.
Just good hay for the horses and lots of water for me. :)

My horse needs a lot more work since I now have a toddler and can't leave him while I go long trot the trails or ride up and down the mountains. The arena at my place is a joke...so we do what we can. I ride 45 minutes 4 days a week, split in the middle with one day of drills/sprints, one day of competition, one rest day, and one day of non-riding exercise.

For me I do HIIT in my office at lunch. Mon is arms/cardio, Tues is heavy weights butt and legs, Weds is core and balance, Thurs is heavy lifting arms/legs, Fri is core/cardio, and Sat is shoulders and butt. Sunday is a rest day. My cheat meal takes place on Sat. I also drink 120-150 oz of water and eat "real" foods for all meals until cheat meal. I make sure to avoid the snacks and eating out with co-workers by prepping my meals for the next week on Sundays.

I used to run but we moved to an area where it's difficult to navigate the jogging stroller so had to change my routine.

I normally race every weekend, and my horses enjoy a day in the pasture after each race. The other days are used to condition. I have a one acre riding area with soft, deep sand. Each day, I ride the perimeter of the riding area at a walk, trot, and lope making a minimum of 5 rounds each direction at each gait. The walk is what I call a hustle walk, and it requires effort in deep sand. When it is ridiculously muddy, we simply have to settle for a three to five mile walk down the country road I live on.
As far as personal conditioning goes, my weed eating, mowing, and maintaining 3 acres and a house seems to keep me in shape without going to the gym.
I feed quality alfalfa year round with no grain or supplements.
