This is an interesting post. I have a son of PC Frenchman's Hayday (Bully Bullion, Firewater Flit on the other side) that I absolutely LOVE, and he is a hot, hot mess. He's 2 years old and a huge stinker, very busy, slow maturing. He won't leave the others in the pasture alone, always picking at others, rearing, biting, etc. He is not broke yet - too immature. He sure looks the part, I'm hoping he will be real special.

I bet you won't have a "go" problem, I've had others laid back and lazy, but when they figure it out, they're set and ready.
Is the mare running bred?

I will imagine that once he is given a job---the silliness will be gone. Hopefully anyways. |

Check out what Liana D said above (pg1) ..... you can google YouTube videos of the dam running and winning in the barrel pen, VERY nice mare. |

| I ran Trade Lady Eight for years (she is actually the horse in my avatar) and have been around nearly all of her babies. I kept 2 mares out of her and my sister kept a gelding out of her. PJ is not like her other babies. They want to work, are very responsive and are definitely not lazy.

| We have a 6 yr old gelding out of him. I understand the seem to be lazy thing but once he started working he is peping up every run. He is anything but lazy now. He is out of a granddaughter of Hempen. He is full of the funny stuff though, he can untie knots, take of his boots and is always busy. I would say they are a little maturing but he is coming on strong now. enjoy the quietness now. |

| Yes his mother is running bred she has produced many 1D horses and was a 1D horse herself. |

| That totally sounds like mine he takes everything you put on the fence off. He is very curious and nosey. He also puts his feed pan in the water trough. |

Location: Central Iowa | I am excited to read this post as well. I have a yearling Slick by Design colt out of a $ earning daughter of PC Frenchmans Hayday. So far he is very laid back, easy going and just a puppy dog! I cant wait to get on him next year! |

Location: torrington, wy | We have an own son, PB Getusum Dinero and he is an energizer bunny. He is also a stallion. but very well mannered, and easy to haul. He is a 1d barrel horse.
