Veteran Posts: 193 Location: TEXAS	My mare tolerates boots or wraps. But, I would like to know what else I can use for my runs that are lighweight and will give some protection. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Married to a Louie Lover Posts: 3303	I would run her nekked in the back if you think she runs better. I run one of my geldings that way. If you think she doesn't like the tight compression try a pair of hunter style leather boots if you want some strike protection. My fear is really a strike to the front leg from the back leg, not as much the back leg itself.

I hate cooking and cleaning Posts: 3314 Location: Jersey Girl	I couldn't use boots on my one gelding. He would tolerate them but he wouldn't work or run as much as when I put them on him.
