Mane and Tail Help

My youngster has a thin just below his hock tail. I hate thin short tails. What is the best product on the market for Mane and Tail Growth. I hate MTG he stays in the pasture and I do not like to keep his tail braided. Thank you in Advance

My trainer has started feeding a new Purina feed. She says her horse's mane has grown like crazy. I think his tail has thickened up too. Not sure this is in feed stores yet but the name of it is Purina Impact Performance Professional. I went to get some and the feed store did not have it yet. That was about a month ago.

Mane & Tail detangler and keep it braided and bagged. Take it down and wash/rebraid at least once a week. No brushes. Flax will encourage growth, but genetics are the primary source of mane and tail growth.

they reiners use argon oil. i use conditioners with silk proteins to keep from tangling. never brush with a hair brush will pull out hair. a lot of times when they are out at night and know its gonna rain i put some conditioner in the mane. my mare has a really long mane but where i had her last winter at the trainers they brushed her mane and its a little thin at the ends. might trim a little this winter just the very tips as the new growth doesn't have very many split ends and looks really good and soft.

Mine grow 1-2" a month just by putting coconut oil on them. It's messy, but no nasty smell or anything. Just wash really well and saturate the dock of the tail and work it down the strands. I wash them once a month and do the oil each week. Same concept for manes too, but mine don't grow as fast as tails. Also depends on the horse, some horses don't have the genes for it like some do.

Just putting in a leave in conditioner will help because it will keep it from getting brittle and breaking off.
